Dr. AlNashef is a professor at the department of chemical engineering/Khalifa University, United Arab Emirates. Dr. AlNashef joined King Saud University, Saudi Arabia, after obtaining his Ph. D. from the University of South Carolina/USA in 2004. He is active in research related to green engineering and sustainability and established collaboration with many research groups. In 2014, Dr. AlNashef moved to Khalifa University. Dr. Nashef co-authored more than 140 peer-reviewed journal publications. In addition, he received 8 patents from US and EU Patent Offices. Fawzi Banat is a Professor & Cahir of Chemical Engineering Department at the Petroleum Institute (PI). His main research interest is in the area of Membrane Desalination, Water Treatment, Gas Treatment and Foaming. Seema Narayan is ranked in the top ten percent of female authors in the world according to RePec. She is Associate Professor of Economics at RMIT University, Melbourne. Dr. Bharat Bhushan is an Ohio Eminent Scholar and the Howard D. Winbigler Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering and nd the Director of the Nanoprobe Laboratory for Bio- & Nanotechnology and Biomimetics (NLB2) and affiliated faculty in John Glenn College of Public Affairs at the Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio. Dr. Bhushan came to OSU in 1991 after a 15-year career in industry, working primarily for IBM Almaden Research Center. A professor with diverse interests, Dr. Bhushan’s works in biomimetic interface science, surface engineering, nanotribology, and materials research. His research has focused on scanning probe techniques in the interdisciplinary areas of bio/nanotribology, bio/nanomechanics and bio/nanomaterials characterization and applications to bio/nanotechnology, and biomimetics. Dr. Bhushan spent the 2013-2014 year working as an ASME Science Fellow in Congress. His work there focused on policy and funding of various scientific government agencies, setting science and engineering goals for the country, and STEM education. Professor Dr. Dimitris Drikakis is Professor of Engineering Science, Executive Director of Global University Partnerships at the University of Starthclyde, Glasgow, UK. His expertise is in computational fluid dynamics (CFD), fluid mechanics, and micro/nanoscale processes at fluid-solid interfaces. Russell R. Chianelli is currently Director of the Materials Research and Technology Institute at the University of Texas at El Paso and Professor of Chemistry, Materials and Environmental Science and Engineering. After receiving his PhD, he joined the Corporate Research Laboratories of Exxon Research and Engineering Co in 1974. While at this laboratory he conducted research in both fundamental and applied areas of interest to the energy industry. He is recognized worldwide for his work in Transition Metal Sulfide environmental catalytic materials. This work resulted in over 130 publications and 60 issued United States patents. During this period he was active in the Materials Research Society (MRS), serving as vice president (1989), president (1990), past president (1991) and Counselor (1992-1994). In 1996 he joined the Chemistry Department at the University of Texas at El Paso as Chairman and Professor of Chemistry and Environmental Sciences. In 2001 he resigned as Chemistry Department Chairman to head the Materials Research and Technology Institute (MRTI) at UTEP. The MRTI is dedicated to research relevant to the US/Mexico border in Materials related to energy, environment and health.
